Northern Inuits and what jobs they can do?

Search and Rescue

Amber and I started our long journey into doing this back in 2019 just before Covid

started, We went along to a Intro into Man Trailing and Amber just took to it like a duck

to water it is all about finding the missing person. We went on from there to doing our

level 1, 2 and 3 once they were done and after 100 hours off training we were awarded

our Advanced Handler, we then carried on doing our training and after 150 hours training

we were awarded our Operational Dog and Handler award, As far as I am aware Amber

is the 1st Northern Inuit to be awarded this certification, We are now part off a 5 person

strong Lowland Search and Rescue team we have 2 Tracking and Trailing dogs and 3

Human Remain Detection Dogs we are also all trained in Field Searches to. We have

been on on searches helping Police Scotland and are always there no mater what 24/7.

WE ARE AFFILIATED WITH THE NORTHERN INUIT SOCIETY.
